I attended the September 3, 2024, Camden County Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m.
All commissioners were present.
The only agenda item was Second Public Hearing – Speed Limit Reduction on Dry Hollow Road, Camdenton.
One person from the neighborhood was present at the meeting. She was in favor of the speed limit reduction and widening of the road.
Nobody was present to oppose the proposed changes.
The third and final meeting regarding the speed limit reduction was scheduled for September 5.
Presiding Commissioner Skelton read aloud a letter from the Commission addressed to the City of Osage Beach and the Osage Beach Police Department, mourning the line of duty death of Osage Beach Police Officer Phylicia Carson. Skelton declared that county flags would be flown at half-mast on September 5.
