I attended the October 9, 2025, Camden County Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m.
All commissioners were present.
The first agenda item was “2nd Public Hearing – reduce speed limit on Tall Timbers Dr.”
There was nobody at the meeting who was opposed to the speed reduction.
The second agenda item was “2nd Public Hearing – reduce speed limit on Keystone Dr.”
Nobody was at the meeting for this issue at all.
The final agenda item was “Surplus Funds Request.”
The request had been reviewed by the County Attorney and the Treasurer.
It was approved unanimously.
Commissioner Gohagan mentioned that there was a water leak from the County Jail and since the jail floors were built above the Sheriff’s Office, some of the water has been leaking down into the administrative offices. Captain Vinson from the Sheriff’s Office told Gohagan that they are trying to determine the source of the leaking water. It’s unknown if it’s “inmate water”, air conditioner water, or something else.
