I attended the November 3, 2022 Camden County Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Commissioners Gohagan and Williams were present.
The meeting was held in the Commission Annex Building conference room. There were about seven people present besides the Camden County employees who normally attend.
The first agenda item was MO Lake Development. The Commission unanimously approved a public improvement agreement with MO Lake Development. This is the company that plans to develop the large property behind the Camdenton Walmart.
The second agenda item was S&W Gas Contract. This sounded like a heating contract?
It was approved unanimously.
The third agenda item was Requests for Surplus Funds.
One of them was approved. The other request was tabled until the successor for the property could be contacted. This can often occur when the owner of the property is deceased, the property was sold to a bidder in the tax sale, and there is still a surplus that remains after the past due property taxes have been paid off by the winning bid.
The final agenda item was Sheriff State DTF Grant. This was a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for LANEG (Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group). The amount of the grant was approximately $425,000. It will be used to modernize current equipment and for overtime.
This grant was approved unanimously.
And that was that.
