I attended the October 6, 2026, Camden County Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m.
All commissioners were present.

The first agenda item was “4th Tax Sale Sealed Bid Opening.”
A single bid was received to purchased all of the county’s remaining 4th Sale properties. (These are properties that were three years delinquent on property tax, have been subsequently offered at a minimum of three tax sales, and did not receive any bids at those tax sales.)
In its bid, M&G Land LLC offered $100 per parcel for all of the remaining 4th Sale parcels excluding properties that M&G is already in the process of buying from the county.
There were no other bids.
County Collector Teresa Murray said that she wanted the bid decision to be tabled. She explained that there was one more thing that she wanted to do and she asked the Commission to table it for a little while. Murray did not explain what exactly she wanted to do and offered no other information.
The Commission tabled this item until October 22.
The second agenda item was “Surplus Request – Roberts.”
There were two Refund of Surplus requests. One was for $5,288.50 and the other was for $35,760.17. They had been reviewed by the County Attorney and they were approved unanimously by the Commission.
In Public Comment, there was a discussion about where the Camden County Collector’s payment dropbox should be located? It used to be located in the front lobby, but there were concerns that this location wasn’t as secure considering the building’s new freedom policy. After some discussion, it was decided the best location for money drop-offs would be the Treasurer’s Office since that was where the drop-offs were previously collected. The Commission will check with the Treasurer and see if she agrees.
And that was that.
