I attended the April 9, 2026, Camden County Commission meeting at 10:00 a.m.
All commissioners were present.
The only item on the agenda was “R&B Spring Bid Award – Engineering/Surveying.”
Based on the recommendation of the Road and Bridge Administrator, the Commission voted unanimously to accept the bid from Howe Engineering.
He also recommended that the Commission accept all of the tire bids.
The tire bids and Howe Engineering’s bid were accepted unanimously.
Presiding Commissioner Skelton mentioned that the Horseshoe Bend Special Road District is facing some expensive maintenance costs on a few of their vehicles and he wondered if the Camden County Road and Bridge District could look into loaning their mechanic to the HBSRD to help perform some of the repairs.
In Public Comment, the Sheriff asked the Commission if they could discuss the topic of the Missouri Blue Shield Program?
After some discussion, it was agreed that this would be placed on a future meeting agenda.
The commissioners then adjourned and went into closed session.
